SUZY NOEL
I saw all of
these films and I loved them then and I love them now. So to have
these gems of history and culture in one set of DVDs… I think
that’s priceless.
That’s really our
history. It’s a part of our culture. It sort of makes us
Americans.
Even though that
time is gone, these things remain and I just think they’re
wonderful. They’re really very close to my heart.
ROMAINE
WELLS-MAZER
That was my life!
When I watched these films I felt like I was looking at my youth. I
identified with absolutely everything in them.
You’ve preserved a
part of American history that seems to be shoved under the rug now
and that’s wonderful. I am so lucky that I got to grow up in that
era.
I think they’re
brilliant. You’re brilliant for doing this!
ED GILLOW
That was a time of
life that was special. And to recapture this on DVD and to see it
again… I mean, how great is that? (laugh)
I think these
things are great. They’re a reminder of how precious life is. You
have to do it!
CYNTHIA YOUNG
What’s so great
about this is that you get to see things that you really haven’t
thought about in years!
I expected to be
laughing at all of it. And yet a lot times I went, "Ooo, you know,
that’s something we were taught that was valuable."
I saw a lot of
humor in them… but there’s a lot of heart there too.
MAE HI
A great idea to
show at a party. I’m positive – over 100% sure – that people would
love it. I gotta have this DVD!
Great present for
birthday, for Father’s Day, Mother’s Day. Any holiday, any special
occasion, I think.
VICTORIA
ALLEN
It’s like going
through a photo album and seeing a part of your past. It’s touching
in the sense that it’s like, "Wow, I mean that’s a part of my
history, of my growing up, my experience."
It’s kind of neat
to show your kids and grandkids too because it’s showing them a
piece of what has made you who you are.
WILL ALLEN
Looking at ‘em
now…it’s just hilarious. I mean if you’re gonna have a party… and
you’re gonna watch these DVDs. I mean, c’mon, that’s some funny
stuff.
You wanna raise
your kids to have proper manners. And that can be shown on these
DVDs. You can laugh at it but still learn. That’s the beauty of it.
HAIL KETCHUM
(teenager)
I thought it was
one of the most hilarious things I had ever watched. It was almost
up there with Napoleon Dynamite as far as stupid, funny movies. I
know I’m making my best friends watch it!
CHRISTIAN
CALLOWAY
This is history.
An actual moment in time that's never gonna happen again. And now it’s on DVD. That’s what
makes these so great.
People are gonna
love it. I can’t think of a single person that wouldn’t sit there
and say, “These are incredible!”
You know what I
really like about this collection? You can’t really find it anywhere
else. These aren’t all over the Internet. They’re not anyplace but
right here, gathered together in this one package.
EDWARD LEE
GOLDSTEIN
Why do people like
Happy Days and Father Knows Best and all of those
shows? There was an idealism – that in reality never existed other
than on television or in films like these. But it was something to
shoot for!
I think this is
something that the whole family can look at and laugh at. I can see
three generations of my family just laughing hysterically at what
life was like back then. These can bridge the generation gap in so
many ways.
STEPHEN RICE
(teenager)
I’m assuming my
parents saw these films in school because, you know, they’ve talked
about them and what not. As far as the impact they had
on their life… I'd say little to none. (laugh)
The way it’s
delivered, it’s like, you’re compelled to watch it and you can’t look away.
DR. JACK MAR
I have a ’66
Chevelle and it is just a great car because it reminds me of that
time. And looking back at these films and seeing those old cars was
just great.

KENLYN
KANOUSE
They’re a total
hoot! I was a history teacher. And I would love to show these in a
history class. Maybe our kids would understand us better if they
saw some of these!
JILL MARIE
BURKE
I’m glad to see
that they haven’t been destroyed or fallen apart or whatever happens
to old film footage. I’m glad somebody dug ‘em up and packaged them
all together.
I would love to sit
down with a couple of my high school friends and watch these.
Because we'd just be completely on the floor.
My mother would
love to see these!
MARLENE
WILLIAMS
I think it’s just
fantastic. A really novel idea. I don’t know why no one’s ever come
up with this before. It’s ingenious really.
KEN WILEY
If kids today want
to understand why their parents are so screwed up, they can watch
these films and go “Oh, now I understand”!
I realize these are
rare films. And to have them all in a collection is just amazing.
JANET’
VINCENT LEE
Let’s just all sit
around and get some pretzels and watch these things and just crack
up!
That's your first reaction -- to just laugh. But sometimes you laugh
and then you go, “Awww… isn’t that sweet. We bought that. We
believed that.” You know, it’s just touching.
I can think of at
least half a dozen friends who I would like to share these with
right now.
JACQUI BOWE
This is a part of
our history. You know, it’s what made us who we are today.
I am just really
glad that somebody took the time to go and research and find all
those great films so that we can go back and get nostalgic and
remember and laugh and cry and… and uh …share ‘em with some friends.
HEATHER GRAFF
I have a friend
who’s turning fifty and this would be the perfect gift for her.
It’s wonderful
because it has stuff you’re never gonna see anywhere else. You can
look at them again and again and see different things.
CASEY ALAN
CARVER
You know, maybe
America was a little simpler and a little more naïve before. But
people did treat each other better and they valued each other more,
and maybe if they saw how it used to be they might realize that it
can be that way again.
JENNIE FLOYD
I enjoyed these
because they reminded me of a time gone by. It kind of brought me
back to my childhood and I’d like to be able to show that to my
children.
They’re funny,
they’re quaint, and I found them in a sweet way, moving.
STUART
SHOSTAK
The campiness of
these films is that they look like they did when we saw them in
school. They’ve got scratches and splices…it’s like watching them
with Miss Johnson hovering over you with a ruler telling you to
pay attention or you’re headed for the principal’s office.
I think a lot of my
friends will remember these from their past and when they see this
go, “Oh man, I haven’t seen these in years. These are hilarious.
Let’s watch some of this stuff.”
JOHN PARNELL
I wouldn’t mind
having these playing at a party because it would evoke conversation.
Strangers will start talking to one another and that’s the kind of
atmosphere you want at any party.
This collection is
definitely a trip down memory lane and I think the
baby boomers are gonna to get a big kick out of reliving some
childhood memories.
STEVE LEWIS
I can’t think of a
better way to bring back memories to a group of people… at a party,
or family reunion or gathering or whatever. I think it’s perfect.
SANDRA LYN
I would love to
play them at a party one night, you know? Sittin’ around a dinner
party having our wine and then say, “Okay guys.. I got something
great for you”.
And what a terrific gift
idea… because what do you get a co-worker, or you know maybe a
friend you haven’t seen in a while? Or just to have a great little
gift just on hand just in case.
